K58

K58 is 100% hand-made, hand-moulded and blue-tempered, i.e. fired in low-oxygen conditions, with four equally usable sides and a rough, varied surface. Each brick bears the thumbprints of the craftsperson who made it. K58 has a wide range of dark grey and almost black shades with hints of lilac. Some of the bricks have uneven areas of greenish yellow due to the light slurry added to the wet clay in the wooden mould. The bricks have sand aggregate on the surfaces and partially vitrified areas.
