K56

K56 is 100% hand-made, hand-moulded and blue-tempered, i.e. fired in low-oxygen conditions, with four equally usable sides and a rough, varied surface. Each brick bears the thumbprints of the craftsperson who made it. K56 is mainly black but also has a varied play of colour with very dark brown shades. The bricks have sand aggregate on the surfaces and partially vitrified areas.
